Biophilic design system research is ongoing project of mine , which tries to answer for that question. It opens up the wide range of opportunities that can be implemented - as a system - into many possible design solutions.
Taken inspiration from nature , its repetitive pattern - how the plant is growing , how it follows a rule of knots can be translated into design language . Saying that - parametric design is a core for technology creation based on that principle.
We can easily compare knots in nature and its connections to the power of magnetism and invisible affection lines that it creates.
